GNTC has received a donation of personal hygiene items from On My Mother’s Shoulders; a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose goal is to supply basic necessities to college students who are experiencing housing insecurity and financial hardship.

Sixteen graduates received their Spanish Child Development Associate credentials Thursday, July 16, at GNTC and are now qualified to work in Quality Rated Child Care Centers. Offered through GNTC’s Office of Adult Education, the bilingual Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program was held at the Whitfield Murray Campus in Dalton.

GNTC announces 12 students as the first recipients of the Disabled Veterans Support Scholarship. Funded by voluntary state income tax return donations, the Disabled Veterans Support Scholarship (DVSS) was created to support U.S. military veterans with service-connected disabilities as they pursue technical education in Georgia.

GNTC's Office of Adult Education held its Spring 2026 Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, June 25, for 51 students who have earned their High School Equivalency (HSE) diplomas. The ceremony was held at the Conference Center on GNTC’s Gordon County Campus in Calhoun to accommodate students and families from all nine counties of GNTC’s service area.

Two GNTC students were finalists in their competitions at the 2026 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Collegiate National Leadership Conference, held June 6-8. Jared Weaver placed third in Customer Service and Ashley Weaver placed ninth in Foundations of Entrepreneurship. The Weavers are married and live in Chatsworth, with their daughter, Emily Standridge, who also competed at the national conference.

Seventeen students graduated at the YSA Commencement Ceremony at GNTC’s Floyd County Campus in Rome on Tuesday, June 9.
