The Foundation at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) has announced that GNTC’s Board of Trustees has been named a 2025 Role Model Board by the Technical College Foundation Association of Georgia.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year that the GNTC Foundation has received this honor from the Technical College Foundation Association of Georgia (TCFA), which is a membership organization representing the 23 Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) affiliated foundations and more than 450 trustees statewide.
“This designation as a Role-Model Board is confirmation of what we already knew—the GNTC Foundation Trustees are passionate about supporting our students,” said Lauretta Hannon, executive director of Institutional Advancement at GNTC. “This board is remarkably dedicated, enthusiastic and effective in the business of helping GNTC students realize their educational and career dreams. We are so grateful for their service, their contributions and their excellence.”

The Role Based Model designation is awarded annually to nonprofit TCSG foundations in Georgia that engage in best practices in nonprofit governance, board management and operations; have policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, especially in financial matters; are led by a Board of Trustees whose members are actively engaged in the foundation’s development activities; and support the professional development and state-level participation of their Trustees, executive director and college advancement personnel.
The TCFA Role Model Foundation Board certification is an annual certification process; foundations, all trustees and advancement personnel must meet the requirements for certification established by the Delegate Council.
The foundations who have met all the requirements will be recognized at the 2025 TCSG Fall Leadership Conference, Oct. 26-29, at the Hyatt Regency Savannah.
Joining the GNTC Foundation in receiving this prestigious honor are the foundations of Athens Technical College, Atlanta Technical College, Augusta Technical College, Central Georgia Technical College, Chattahoochee Technical College, Coastal Pines Technical College, Columbus Technical College, Gwinnett Technical College, North Georgia Technical College, Ogeechee Technical College, Savannah Technical College, Southeastern Technical College, Southern Crescent Technical College, Southern Regional Technical College and West Georgia Technical College.

This past year, 13,775 people benefited from GNTC’s credit and noncredit programs.
