Established in 1966, Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s Welding and Joining Technology program has a long-standing tradition of excellence in training students for the workforce. The program provides comprehensive instruction in the SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding processes. In addition to mastering these welding techniques, students will learn blueprint reading, fabrication processes, pipe welding techniques, and various metal-cutting procedures, among other essential skills. With a focus on hands-on training and real-world applications, GNTC’s welding program ensures that graduates are thoroughly prepared to enter and thrive in the welding industry.
GNTC’s Program Pathways can be used as advising guides or maps to help determine which courses they need to take and when to take them. By following the course of study outlined in the specific degree, diploma or certificate pathway, GNTC students will know the necessary prerequisite courses they need to continue in the chosen program of study.
