All 18 Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) graduates in the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program have passed a national nursing licensure exam this year on their first attempt and achieved a 100% pass rate.
This year is the fourth consecutive year that 100% of GNTC’s ASN graduates have passed the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) to become a Registered Nurse on their first attempt.
“A strong NCLEX-RN pass rate reflects the commitment and perseverance of our students and the dedication of the faculty who support them,” said Lauren Elsberry, Registered Nursing program administrator at GNTC. “Graduating and passing NCLEX-RN is only one component of nursing. At GNTC, we are proud to prepare nurses who have developed the knowledge, clinical judgment and compassion needed to serve our communities and contribute to the healthcare workforce.”
The NCLEX-RN is a standardized test used nationwide as a way for states to verify Nursing knowledge and gauge competency to practice as a Registered Nurse. The exam tests general knowledge of health maintenance and disease progression, diagnostic procedures and the ability to use clinical judgment to make decisions to ensure patient safety.
The following ASN graduates earned their degree on Dec. 4, 2025, and took the NCLEX-RN exam to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia. GNTC’s ASN program is housed on the Walker County Campus in Rock Spring. Georgia Northwestern Technical College delivers high-quality workforce education to the citizens of northwest Georgia. Students can pursue associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in a wide range of career pathways, including aviation, business, health, industrial and public service. Over the past year, 14,082 people benefited from GNTC’s credit and noncredit programs. The college has an annual credit enrollment of 9,342 students and achieved a 100 percent placement rate. An additional 4,740 individuals are served through adult education, continuing education, business and industry training and Georgia Quick Start® programs.
