The Horticulture program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) will hold a Fall Mum Sale Monday, Sept. 15, through Thursday, Sept. 18, outside of Building L, located across from GNTC’s Floyd County Campus in Rome.

The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday or until plants sell out. The plants are located in a fenced area outside of Building L. Buyers should stop by Building L if no one is outside with the mums, said Nick Barton, director of GNTC’s Horticulture program.

The mums are in 8-inch pots and will cost $7 each. Colors include bronze, orange, red, white and yellow.

“The mums are just starting to bloom, so most of the plants should be in full bloom when the sale begins,” said Barton.

The sale is a way for GNTC to contribute to the community that also gives Horticulture students real-world experience, Barton said.

All proceeds from the plant sale will benefit the Horticulture program at GNTC. Purchases may be made with cash or check; credit cards are not accepted.
