GNTC to hold a Public Safety Training Exercise on the Gordon County Campus

October 6, 2017

Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) department of Safety and Security will be joined by local law enforcement and emergency responders on Tuesday, Oct. 10, for a Public Safety Training Exercise.

It will take place at the Gordon County Campus in Calhoun between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The exercise will serve as training for local police and emergency responders to test the response capacity and coordination between the college and public safety agencies.

“We are asking people to avoid the area of Beamer Rd. and Harris Beamer Rd. as much as possible as the public safety teams train to take care of our community,” said Tom Bojo, dean of academic affairs at GNTC.
