Georgia Fatherhood
The Georgia Fatherhood Program (GFP) in collaboration with the Department of Labor strives to motivate non-custodial parents to become active participants, both emotionally and financially, in the lives of their children. The program Assists non-custodial parents who are unemployed, at risk of losing their jobs, and/or behind on child support payments by providing a variety of support services, day and evening workshops, and comprehensive training programs.
Educational Opportunities
The GFP also offers support services for increased access to technical colleges. Participants will have an opportunity to take advantage of customized, long- or short-term training, and Adult Literacy services.
The Georgia Fatherhood Program provides participants with 30 hours of workshop topics and activities which aim to assist individuals in reaching personal goals and learning skills to promote their personal and professional success. Participants will acquire skills and new found relationships, which will truly help them to successfully "survive."
