GNTC online students and faculty have access to a large variety of virtual services, library support, and resources to meet their needs. Note the Library Links on the left side of this page to Research Links, Pathfinders, Sharing Libraries -- those we have cooperative agreements with for sharing resources (which also includes an Interlibrary Loan Request form), Suggest a Book/Purchase, and frequently asked questions.
Students enrolled in online courses have access to electronic resources providing thousands of eBooks, newspaper, and journal articles covering a broad range of subject areas. Library personnel emails a flyer with off campus logins and passwords for these resources to distance education students at the beginning of each semester. Students may also get this information by calling the main library at 706-295-6845 and verifying their GNTC student status by ID number.
Reference assistance is available via email, phone, or fax directly with library staff. Every effort is made to respond to requests for assistance within four hours with a maximum response time of 24 hours during the work week. Students are encouraged to contact the librarian on the campus nearest their home. Floyd Campus: Linda Floyd; Gordon Campus: Melinda Sams; Polk Campus: Anu Moorthy; Walker Campus: Elisabeth Douglas; Whitfield-Murray Campus: Brittany Richardson.
