Economic Development
The Office of Economic Development of Georgia Northwestern Technical College objective is to provide workforce development by delivering short-term, non-credit training to the citizens and organizations of Northwest Georgia. The services include customized industrial and organizational development training, Quick Start assistance, Continuing Education courses, Georgia Work Ready Profiles, Assessments, Gap Education (ACT Work Keys system), and business start-up assistance at the Business Expansion Center (BEC). The Georgia Retraining Tax Credit program is administered by the Office of Economic Development.
The staff participates in the area Chambers of Commerce, local Development Authorities, the Georgia Economic Developers Association. The staff members are focused on the needs of the area communities and provide a wide range of economic development assistance.
