You can take interest, aptitude, and values inventories at the sites listed below. This will assist you in narrowing your career decisions and help you select a major for your studies. Both sites offer extensive information about Georgia occupations and how to prepare for them.

Georgia State University maintains a web site that provides Georgia-specific occupational information and an assessment to assist you with career choices. To access the system, log on to http://www.gcic.peachnet.edu. Click on the top “Click Here to Enter” Icon (looks like a target), and then enter the following:
- User Id: gntcwcc
- Password: gcis619
Be sure to type the address and passwords exactly as given above. (Note: one is “gcic” and one is “gcis.”) On this page, you can access help with the following:

GNTC Admissions Steps
Submit a completed application to the Admissions office at the campus you will be attending and pay a $20 non-refundable application fee.
Complete the COMPASS placement test offered by GNTC or submit satisfactory SAT, ACT, or ASSET scores if taken within the past five years; or provide an official college transcript showing satisfactory completion of appropriate English and math courses with a "C" or better. This may be used in lieu of completing the placement test.
Submit an official copy of a high school transcript or GED® transcript; Applicants who have completed (C or better) a minimum of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours at the degree level may submit official college transcripts in lieu of high school diploma or GED®. All transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope. Special Education diplomas or Certificate of Attendance are not recognized for admission purposes. Students from secondary schools outside the United States must have transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved outside organization.
All new students or returning students who have not registered with GNTC within the previous twelve months must complete the New Student Orientation found online at Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s website at New Student Orientation.
Once you have viewed all of the information in the New Student Orientation, you will be instructed to verify that you have read the orientation and then you will be taken to the verification page. Please print this page, sign it to verify you have viewed the orientation, and submit it to the Admissions Office. This step is a requirement for admission to GNTC and you will not be accepted until this step is complete.
